A1 Slovenia has once again earned the Employer Partner certificate, the most prestigious regional recognition for human resources management. The certificate is awarded by SELECTIO Group to organizations that meet high standards in human resources management. This confirms A1 Slovenia’s systematic investment in employee development, a supportive work environment, and a people-centered organizational culture.
At A1 Slovenia, the HR function plays a strong strategic role and actively participates in shaping business decisions. The HR strategy is aligned with the long-term vision Human@Center, ensuring that people remain at the center of all processes. It covers recruitment, skills development, innovation, and employee wellbeing.
The organizational culture is built on collaboration, open communication, and continuous learning. Through development programs, innovation, and wellbeing initiatives, employees gain a supportive environment and long-term growth opportunities.
“Evaluation within the Employer Partner certificate is a good example that the journey matters more than the destination. The certificate is recognition, a plaque we can place on a shelf, but also proof of what we do well and where there is room for growth. This added value makes the certificate truly special,” said Blaž Ferenc, Senior Director of Human Resources, Corporate Communications and Sustainability at A1 Slovenija and A1 Hrvatska.
By obtaining the Employer Partner certificate, A1 Slovenia confirms once again that quality people management is not only business support. It is part of the company’s strategy and everyday culture. The certificate also provides guidance for further HR development and motivates A1 Slovenia to keep setting high employee care standards.
The first application of the Employer Partner standard launched the professionalization and standardization of HR practices in Croatia. This enabled the accelerated growth of the HR community and employers. The standards were developed through cooperation between SELECTIO experts, executives, and HR managers from leading Croatian companies. To stay aligned with global best practices, the standards are revised every four years.
For the first time, measurable standards enabled organizations to compare HR practices with competitors. Organizations can also assess themselves against the highest standards in the market. These comparisons still encourage companies to develop and improve HR processes. As a result, the overall HR standard on local and regional markets continues to rise.
