Kaufland: Ensuring an inclusive and supportive work environment

Kaufland and its sister company EUN, have once again earned the Employer Partner certificate. This year, Kaufland has gone a step further by confirming its standards for the Above and Beyond certificates in two categories: “Future” and “Innovation.” Only companies in the top 10% based on the overall quality assessment of their HR system are eligible to apply for the Above and Beyond certificate. Therefore, this certificate represents the most prestigious acknowledgment of quality in the HR world.

More employees with a detailed development plan

Over the past year, Kaufland has made significant improvements in employee development. The percentage of employees with a detailed individual development plan has increased significantly, and the effectiveness of development programs is systematically monitored through feedback from trainers and managers, participant satisfaction, and objective success measures. The organization continuously fosters innovation through various initiatives such as the Creative Island program and the Idea Room, where employees can work on innovative projects during working hours. A transparent reward system, various ways of recognizing achievements, and the continuous enhancement of benefits packages further contribute to employee satisfaction and engagement.

Kaufland consistently invests in a dynamic and supportive work environment where employees can grow, develop, and be innovative. Strategically focused on the future, it supports key professions and offers employees learning opportunities through structured development programs. Digital learning tools, open communication, and teamwork enable the sharing and upgrading of knowledge, while initiatives for team integration ensure inclusivity in the workplace. In addition, last year, Kaufland expanded flexible work options and introduced measures for better work-life balance to meet the current needs of employees, said Lara Šubić Šuša, Project Manager of Employer Partner at SELECTIO Group.

In addition to the Employer Partner certificate, Kaufland also became one of the first companies in Croatia to receive the Equal Pay Champion certificate in 2024. This certificate, also awarded by SELECTIO Group, is based on the principle of “equal pay for equal work” and aims to establish transparent pay systems in the workplace. Receiving the Equal Pay Champion certificate is a confirmation of the efforts made by business organizations to achieve equality, fairness, and equal opportunities within their organizations.
