Ledo plus Meets High HR standards and joins the Employer Partner community

Ledo plus is a member of the Nomad Foods group, the largest frozen food company in Europe. The company has met the high HR standards required to obtain the Employer Partner Certificate. As a holder of this recognition, Ledo plus demonstrates its commitment to continuous HR improvement. It also focuses on creating desirable working conditions aligned with best practices of successful companies in the region.

„This certificate represents an important acknowledgment of all the initiatives we have undertaken so far in developing and improving HR practices within Ledo. We are proud of the results we have achieved, but we are also looking ahead, with numerous ideas and plans we still wish to realize. Every year, we strive to raise the bar – whether it’s in career development, employee wellbeing, or creating a supportive work environment where everyone can reach their full potential. We believe such a culture is built through the joint efforts of all levels of the company, and recognitions like this one are further motivation to keep moving in that direction,” said Marija Felkel, HR Director for the Adriatic region at Nomad Foods.

The Power of internal ideas and a structured approach to learning

In recent years, Ledo plus has increasingly invested in employee empowerment through a range of targeted education initiatives. The internal Soft Skills Academy helps employees develop key communication and collaboration skills.
New managers receive support through the First Time Manager Academy, designed for those in leadership roles for the first time. A structured mentoring program is also implemented at the Nomad Foods group level. Last year, the company launched its first Talent Program Academy for employees identified as key talents within the organization.
Special attention is also given to internal mobility, which provides additional opportunities for development and career growth.

Ledo plus fosters a culture of open communication and trust, where employees play an active role in improving the organization. It is precisely this kind of employee involvement in internal processes that makes a difference. Throughout the Employer Partner certification process, it became clear that Ledo plus bases its HR strategy on concrete data, various forms of employee development, and the creation of an encouraging work environment. The company successfully balances the needs of production and office teams, supports international employees, promotes two-way communication, and recognizes the importance of mental and physical health initiatives for its people, said Lara Šubić Šuša, Project Lead of the Employer Partner program at SELECTIO Group.

Ledo plus emphasizes that it nurtures a culture of innovation where idea-sharing is actively encouraged. The company continuously explores ways to improve products, processes, and the overall work environment. This approach, based on open communication and encouraging initiative, increases employee satisfaction and engagement. Internal surveys confirm the positive impact of such a culture on motivation and workplace experience.

Professional growth in an international environment

Since 2021, when Ledo became part of the Nomad Foods group, employees have gained access to international development opportunities. They benefit from collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the implementation of best practices across the wider group.
This gives employees access to globally recognized standards and trends, enriching their career paths even further. Ledo plus in Croatia is part of the Nomad Foods Adriatic cluster, along with several regional companies. These include Ledo Čitluk (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Ledo Hungary, Ledo Slovenia, Ledo Montenegro, Ledo Shpk (Kosovo), and Frikom in Serbia and North Macedonia.
