Raiffeisenbank Croatia: Certification as a guide to improvement

Raiffeisenbank Croatia has once again earned the Employer Partner certificate, reaffirming its commitment to enhancing organizational culture, employee development, and job satisfaction.

The nature of large systems is such that we often take our strengths for granted, but it is essential to continuously reassess and improve. Selectio has been a key partner on this journey, guiding us toward implementing even better practices. That’s why I see the process of obtaining this important certification as a ‘systematic check-up’ of our HR processes. I encourage everyone to pause once a year, take a look in the mirror, and reflect on how they are doing, what they excel at, and where their weak points lie. For us, a weak point is any area where our employees’ experience is not at the highest level. Fortunately, these are becoming increasingly rare, proving that we are doing an excellent job as a team, said Ivan Tolić, Director of Human and Organizational Potential Management and Sustainability at RBA.

Action plans based on employee feedback

RBA systematically collects employee feedback and, based on the results, implements practices to improve organizational climate and culture. Special attention is given to onboarding new employees, which has been modernized with the Yello Hello app. This app provides mentoring support, clear probation period goals, and educational materials.

Additionally, the insights gathered from employee feedback drive the development of various initiatives. Through regular online meetings with the CEO, employees receive quarterly updates on strategic projects and have the opportunity to ask questions, fostering open dialogue and trust. The “RBAality” initiative further strengthens innovation and collaboration, as a multidisciplinary team continuously works on new models and ways of working that adapt to market changes.

Employee well-being initiatives

RBA continuously develops well-being programs that equip employees with the knowledge and support needed to maintain their health and work-life balance. The bank also holds the Future Resilience certificate from SELECTIO Group, which accelerates the adoption of best HR practices with a strong focus on employee well-being. In the past year alone, 2,475 employees participated in the Future Resilience program, gaining valuable tools through training and coaching to better manage stress and unpredictable situations.

Furthermore, the company runs the “BeeWell” program, offering a wide range of initiatives, from nutritionist-led workshops and mental health education to training on parenting and generational differences, free online workouts, and psychological support. Employee engagement in these programs is high, and thanks to two-way communication, the content is continuously adjusted to meet real needs. Employees also benefit from over 25 financial and non-financial perks, further demonstrating RBA’s dedication to fostering a supportive and motivating work environment.
