Takeda, a global pharmaceutical company, has reaffirmed its high standards in human resource management by earning the prestigious Employer Partner certificate this year in Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Achieving the Employer Partner certificate is a significant recognition for our company. This certification highlights our commitment to creating a work environment that supports and motivates employees. When we decided to pursue the certification process, it was for several key reasons – to strengthen employee and candidate trust in our processes and standards, gain practical guidance from SELECTIO consultants for continuous improvement of working conditions, and position Takeda as a responsible and desirable employer. Additionally, the certification process fosters a culture of continuous improvement, enabling us to identify areas for growth and implement changes that benefit the entire organization, said Viktorija Zadro Huml, Takeda’s Country Head for Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Focus on development and well-being
Takeda actively supports employee development, demonstrated through significant investments in education. Employees can participate in a global mentoring program, benefit from internal academies, and take advantage of monthly learning days. To further facilitate growth and career advancement within the company, Takeda ensures that job descriptions accurately reflect actual tasks. Additionally, the company places great emphasis on the well-being of all employees, tailoring healthcare programs to the needs of diverse employee groups. Takeda also systematically implements initiatives to prevent burnout, promote work-life balance, and enable various flexible work arrangements.
Participating in the Employer Partner project strengthened our confidence in the strength and complexity of our HR processes across all areas. In some areas, such as employee development, learning opportunities, and fostering a healthy work environment, we are following the trends of leading companies in our industry, which certainly makes us proud. Of course, there is always room for improvement, and I believe that SELECTIO Group, as a key partner in shaping the regional labor market, is the ideal partner to help us refine certain processes and become an even more attractive employer, added Ivana Kartelo, HR Project Lead for Eastern Europe at Takeda.
Each year, around a hundred successful organizations from the region apply for the prestigious Employer Partner certificate. Among the certificate holders are some of the most successful global organizations, with their number increasing annually. Using the Employer Partner methodology, developed by over 50 HR professionals and regularly revised, SELECTIO experts evaluate companies’ HR systems by analyzing the employee life cycle from the first to the last day within the organization.
