Raiffeisen Bank Croatia (RBA) has once again confirmed its status as an Employer Partner certificate holder, continuing to build a work environment focused on employee development, engagement, and wellbeing.
The certificate is awarded by SELECTIO Group to organizations that develop HR practices with a long-term perspective, with particular emphasis on alignment with business objectives and organizational culture. Throughout the entire employee lifecycle, RBA systematically develops HR practices connected to the bank’s business strategy.
Development, technology, and culture at the heart of the HR strategy
Employee development at Raiffeisen Bank Croatia is grounded in clearly defined competency models, which serve as the foundation for manager assessments, development planning, and the design of targeted leadership programs. Additional training is available to all employees based on individual and business needs, and sessions focused on performance management and development planning have seen high levels of participation.
In large organizations, the greatest challenge is maintaining the ability to listen, learn, and adapt – and that is precisely what we continuously do at RBA. HR plays a significant role in shaping the employee experience, from the first day in the organization and ongoing professional development to transparent communication and trust. It is especially important to us that recommendations from previous cycles do not simply remain on paper, but are consistently translated into concrete changes, so that employees can grow, stay engaged, and feel supported. Every opportunity to improve the employee experience is, for us, a space for further development – and it is in that continuous improvement that we see the greatest value of this certificate, said Ivan Tolić, Director of Human and Organizational Potential Management and Sustainability at RBA.
Particular recognition goes to the introduction of PITAI.HR, an AI assistant that gives employees quick and easy access to key HR information and internal documents. Organizational culture and the quality of collaboration are systematically monitored through annual climate surveys and focus groups with employees and leaders. Čas za nas and Meeting Culture initiatives actively promote two-way communication, open dialogue, and clear norms of collaboration.
Employee wellbeing and HR’s strong role as a business partner
Reward systems, a network of internal trainers, and clearly defined communication channels create an environment in which employee development, access to information, and inclusion are part of everyday working life. At RBA, care for employee wellbeing goes beyond a list of perks – it is built through a holistic support approach that encompasses different stages of employees’ personal and professional lives. Through flexible working models, inclusive practices, and continuously improving benefits, RBA strives to create a sustainable work environment where work-life balance is a genuine value, not merely a stated one.
RBA Croatia demonstrates a strong role for HR as a true business partner. Following the evaluation, we would commend their systematic monitoring of employee engagement through surveys and focus groups, as well as the initiatives that actively encourage dialogue and inclusion. We would particularly highlight the successful implementation of recommendations from the previous certification cycle, which confirms a development-oriented and consistent approach to HR practices, noted Lara Šubić Šuša, Head of HR Consulting at SELECTIO Group.
