Hrvatski Telekom’s continued commitment to human resources management as a strategic priority is confirmed by its renewed Employer Partner certificate. The certificate is awarded by SELECTIO Group to organizations whose HR practices have a measurable impact on business performance, culture, and people development.
Hrvatski Telekom also holds SELECTIO Group’s Above and Beyond certificate, which builds on that framework by recognizing organizations that significantly exceed the set criteria in specific areas. Hrvatski Telekom has been recognized in four areas: Impact, Inclusion, Innovation, and Future – placing it among the top 10% of Employer Partner organizations.
HR practices that go beyond standards and create long-term value
Hrvatski Telekom consistently meets the high standards required to build a strong and sustainable organizational culture. By receiving our certificates, they demonstrate the maturity and consistency of their HR practices, which are clearly structured and strategically focused. Compared to last year’s certification, there is a notable step forward in the area of leadership, with a stronger role for leaders through dedicated development programs focused on honing leadership skills, as well as an increase in scores in the evaluation of organizational design. At the same time, employees are supported at every stage of their development through thoughtful and diverse development programs, said Lara Šubić Šuša, Head of HR Consulting at SELECTIO Group.
At Hrvatski Telekom, HR plays an active role as a strategic business partner, reflected in people development, organizational culture, and business objectives. The company systematically tracks the impact of key HR initiatives, encompassing talent development, rewards, career pathways, and employee wellbeing. Results are linked to business performance, employee engagement, and satisfaction.
Particular emphasis is placed on a culture of inclusion in which diversity is actively valued. The organization regularly measures employee engagement and organizational climate, using the insights gained to drive targeted improvements. The role of HR has been further strengthened by positioning it at the level of governance structures, ensuring genuine influence over strategic decisions.
Innovative approaches to people development
The innovative nature of HR practices is evident in the way future employee and business needs are anticipated. Employer branding activities engage employees as ambassadors through the initiatives AI ti to možeš, Mreža dobrih ljudi, and Povezani pričom. Open dialogue on organizational development and careers is encouraged through internal formats such as the AI Talk Show and Brandstorming events.
Modern approaches are applied in both recruitment and development, including gamified selection methods, digital onboarding, and a mobile pre-boarding application. Development programs reach more than 1,000 employees annually, while learning platforms enable the development of AI skills and other future-focused competencies. Internal knowledge transfer is supported by a network of trainers and the LEX – Learning from Experts platform.
The 30under30, The Next, and The Experts programs further drive talent development, opening new career directions for employees within the organization.
We see this new certificate as confirmation that we are consistently building an environment where people have clear opportunities to grow, a sense of belonging, and the support to be the best version of themselves. It is especially important to us that the standards we set are not a ‘project’ but part of the way we work every day: from skills development and leadership to inclusion and collaboration. This recognition motivates us to keep raising the bar and creating an employee experience we can be proud of, said Anamarija Minarski, Director of Employee Experience and Organizational Culture at Hrvatski Telekom.
